Dear
Prospective Member:
Thanks
you for your interest in becoming a member of one of
Central Pennsylvania
’s most outstanding volunteer emergency service
organizations. Your inquiry about membership with our
organization demonstrates that you have a desire and
willingness to serve your community in a very special
way.
Citizen’s
Fire & Rescue Company #2 believes that its members
are its most important resource. Please complete these
forms entirely. For those prospective members under
the age of 18, please complete the Parental Consent
Form with parent/guardian signature and have it
notarized. These forms should be completed and
returned to the fire company no later than the 10th
day of the month for consideration at the following
months meeting, which is held the first Monday evening
of each month at the fire station on
York Street
. There is a $10.00 application fee which must be
submitted with the application, by check or money
order. Company membership dues are $2.00 each year
following your acceptance.
In
accordance with
Pennsylvania
’s Child Labor Laws, prospective members between the
ages of 16 and 18 must submit a valid Transferable
Work Permit which is available through most school
district offices.
Your
completed application will be reviewed by the
Membership Committee. Following the initial review,
your applications will be given to the Mechanicsburg
Borough police Department for a driver’s license and
criminal records check. The application will then be
given a final review by the Membership Committee and
you may be contacted for a personal interview.
